Surprise

To our surprise we find a spot near hotel Grunt in Ždár nad Sázavou. Veronica the hostess, a very friendly young woman managing the place in her own resolutely way, gives us a key to a hotel room. No doubt about using that for a welcome shower! They have also Wifi Internet access , so we have time to describe some surprises on our way.

Monkey business

You think we are funny to travel with a horse drawn caravan? Wait till you here this one:We have lunch on a spot near the road. A woman in a red car stops with her camera ready. She ask permission to make a picture. Of course, no problem. Without hesitation she dives back into her car, coming back with a fully dressed ape on her shoulder! Dressed like a boy she wants to put it on Aysha’s back to make a picture. We are not fond of this kind of animal treatment and we refuse kindly. Maybe not so nice but can’t help it. Instead I make a picture!

Art Business

In a little village where we walk we see a lunch offer we can’t refuse. The restaurant, a local business with an elderly waiter helping us. On the wall are some magnificent painted pictures and a wonderfully painted guitar. We ask the man who made this and it appears to be his work of art! You never know what’s on a mans mind…..

Brno

We have the chance to visit Brno. A large city in the south of Czech. Besides some business matters we also do a city walk. Besides a park we see this big sign with all the city’s we passed the last year. Worth a picture.

Business Surprise: an O2 continuing story

The business we have to arrange is still about Mobile Internet. In Breclav we bought a O2 Sim card with mobile Internet access. The friendly desk woman assuring us it will be easy. The first disappointment is after we pay for it. She mentioned it will be working the day after today.

We can’t try it out in the shop. Next day we try, it does not work. We go back however the new lady does not speak English of German. We have to call a service number. We do, and do and do it again. Hardly nobody speaks English. Finally it’s clear there is a technical problem.

Best solution is to go to another O2 shop in the next city to ask for help. The young boy calls the service center on our behalf and he manage to have access. Yippee! He charges 100 crowns but that’s no problem, it works. The euphoric is short. After two hours the whole amount on the card is gone. It happens that he did something wrong, not activating the data account for Internet and know everything is charged on the mobile phone number. The account was good for a month now it’s gone.

Again we try some phone calls and another visit to O2 in another city. This woman advice us first to put a short amount again, so we can make a phone call to the right department. She can’t do it for us, she has to help her own costumers at the desk!!

On this point it’s not longer a matter of having Internet it’s more interesting to us how this continuing story will end! The last thing we heard from O2 was a short message: We call you to tell we call you when the problem is solved, please wait, thank you!
