Sentimental Journey Broadcast Report
It seems like a sentimental journey now the Dutch broadcast has been to Hungary to film us again. After the last broadcast lots of people, ask them an update about our story. It’s always nice to have them around but it also takes time before we find a good opportunity to meet them. Long before, we try to find a spot suitable to film. Not every host wants to be filmed or understands what we need for the horses. In addition, the broadcast company wants to film us when we search and ask for a new place.
Laughing So eyes open and drive again. Two days before we have the appointment, we drive trough Románd, again a very little place in Hungary. Then for the first time we experience something we never had before. It’s raining cats and dogs and there are almost no people on the road. Searching for a spot, I walk up to an older man. He listen to my “almost perfect Hungarian” starts to laugh and walk away, head shaking. Even it’s raining like this and I am soaked until my underwear, I have to laugh too.
We go further another miles heading Lázi, when we spot a woman on a bike. She don’t understand anything I say but what see does is very good. On her bike, she takes us to a sandy road and stops next to a little farm. Out off the house steps Jacques, a Dutch man living her in Hungary 6 months off the year! Not only Dutch but also born close to John’s hometown.
Nuts Before we know, we are in their garden, talking about Holland, the broadcast company, about living in Hungary and much more. Almost a sentimentical journey! Jacques bought his house 5 years ago and re-build it. More about that in
RELOCATION.
Two days later two people from the broadcast company arrive. The whole day we are filming, talking and driving and finally everything is filmed.Together with camera woman and sound-man, provided with strong alcohol drinks we ending the day! Thea
