Beautiful Prague city.
This city has stolen our heart!
Prague city is a place sparkling with life. Modern fashionable people, the old buildings and the river through its center: breathtaking beautiful. On our travels, we have been to many cities. Small historical places and of course the top: Vienna in Austria. Nevertheless, Prague city has stolen our heart. We have saunter for two days through the streets with on every corner another view on historical buildings.
Petřin Two days are far too inefficient to get to know this city. We only “covered” the old town with his Castle, the river Vltava (Moldau) and its beautiful park Petřin. This park is situated on the left bank of the river and it’s nice taking the Karl bridge over the river to the little train station at the mountain foot. This little train brings you up to 1.148 feet and you can walk back easily through the park. Walking under big trees, little waters beside the road and an almost serene silence, unbelievable in a main city like Prague. The view from this mountain on the old city is magnificent. When we walk through the park, it was Labor Day and half the city of Prague was lying down on the grass.
Lucky moment We walk all day for hours and hours. Just looking around and inhale the atmosphere. Our daughter was lucky. Some how she lost her wallet including her drivers licence out of her trouser pocket. A young man picked it up and run after here to give it back. She didn’t miss it till that moment, indeed very lucky to have it back. Prague is one of safest European capitals in terms of
your personal safety.
It is however also notorious for its (mostly imported) pick-pockets.
The old fashion way We traveled to Prague by train. The public transportation system is excellent. In little villages however the stations are very old with no possibilities to purchase tickets. The conductor sells them to you in the train. Be careful because when there was/is a possibility to purchase them they fine you for almost the double price. The trains are modern but we saw this man with his little sign still handling the traffic on an old fashion way.
At the end of the day we all washed out. Including little Vienna who walked through Prague city on her little feet.
