Longest Journey and now it's Winter!

longest journey

It’s the longest journey we ever traveled and we made it till Hungary. It’s winter time and during the day’s we reach temperatures -10 Celsius (14 Fahrenheit). At night even -20 Celsius (4 Fahrenheit).

We stay here at our cozy little farm, Aysha and Isabella in the garden their feet very muddy and head, back and tail soaking wet. Sometimes it seems they wondering why we not going further. A new journey is yet not on our path. Later when the weather is much better we jump on the box again.

longest journey Garage

For the time being the garage we have is a warm hiding place for our Haflinger horses and we fill it up with straw and piles of hay. Nevertheless they prefer to stay outside.

We have unstable weather, at evening there is nothing to see, opening the windows in the morning we have snow. It disappears during the day, then again snow two day’s later.

longest journey

Snow Blowing

Besides the road some hatches appear, when we ask what it is the explanation is as simple as effective. To withhold the amount of snow blowing over the road!

We miss our journey life very much. The comfortable shower, heating and space we have now it’s great , on the other hand the view every day is the same. Also the language is too difficult talking to someone.

longest journey Pictures

Time enough to look back on our great journey. Pictures, little addresses from people we met on cards and pictures. Load’s of memory’s passing by. We arranging some pictures on the laptop and suddenly I (Thea) start to cry. Pictures of kids and family, feeling sad and longing to be at home with them, especially we are so long away.

When we are on the road we are always that busy, with water, hay and grocery we have no time to be homesick. Again it’s a great journey but sometimes I want to take a quick look in the lives of the children. There is only one good solution; contact through Internet and phone calls. The other option is to go back. That’s not what we want right now, sow we have to adept to this feeling. Time to do some other things.

longest journey

Pushing

It’s not all depression on the longest journey we ever made: look what happen when I am not fast enough, when pushing the car out off the snow!Took almost an hour before John could stop laughing.

The longest journey we made ever, and other impressions.
