Life Changing Secret about Hospitality
It’s February. One life changing secret we already discovered in two weeks of travelling; hospitality given and accept is something you have to learn. In Holland it’s not common to stay at free spots. Farmers and the police don’t like that. That’s why we always have to ask or to arrange a place upfront. Especially because we need some good place for the horses.
Enthusiastic Yesterday we arrived on this spot. A place in the South of Holland called Schijndel. People we ask for this place are so enthusiastic; we totally overwhelmed stay in their garden. The horses stay in a hug meadow, normally used for more than ten horses. The host carries out hay and water, invite us in for a drink. We discuss this whole evening the (dis) advantages of our travel.
Examined A totally difference from one week ago. We ask for a place at a riding school. The woman first examined us. Where do we come from? Do we have any diseases? (She asks about the horses, I hope.) To Skinny? She tells us the horses aren’t fat enough. Before we know she has given the horses oats and apples. Something our horses never get, because of their nervous action on it. She offers us a place on the meadow. A bit narrow place but good for a night. Leave us alone till we left the next morning. The life changing secret about this: Don't start an argument with your host! Hospitality Both host families have a good hart. The woman from the riding school act on her horse care. The present host act on the whole picture. A horse drawn carriage journey. It's the same effect; We can stay for the night. The feeling is different: we feel really welcome at the present spot. It’s a life changing secret to learn for us. Useful in the nearby future. (We prefer to stay with a host, however sometimes
we choose for caravan sites)

More help The host also has horses. We bring up the question about the hoofs. The rubber horseshoes have make wounds. We have to choose for iron horseshoes. He calls his blacksmith; arrange a date within three days. No problem that we stay this long in his garden. Other example I write this article in a local library. They have Internet access but every station is in use. That’s bad, I need a connection. The manager calls the Webmaster. He gives me a password to log in with my laptop. That’s the second life changing secret to use. Ask for what you want: A no-no you have already, a Yes is to be given. Thea

Horseback Camping
Unlike the other camping experiences on this site, horseback camping is very special. This is because the transport is not some inanimate machine but a living, breathing, thinking animal. For those of you who have been fortunate enough to have a horse, you will appreciate the relationship and bond one can develop with a horse.
