A Life Changing Attitude; this horse travel brings lots of insight.
Life changing attitude we sorely need on this trip to get the most out of it. We are travel for day’s now besides the river Main. We cannot explain enough how beautiful this river is. Every evening we find the most exciting places to stay overnight. It’s June and warm, after a long day we jump into the river, shampoo with us and nobody will say anything about it. There is also a little creek we went in. Streams harder than we thought forced us to swim harder than ever to go back at camp!
Pipo and Mammalou In the morning, we have done some grocery. A big supermarket, also well-known in Holland is open. In- and outside plenty Dutch people having holiday’s. We know them Dutch when they start to sing: “Pipo and Mammaloe”. A famous (Dutch) television series about a clown and his family living in a gypsy wagon. One of the Dutch ladies asks us: “Are you doing this for fun or is this a way of living?” “Can it be both?” is our reply! Like us, she laughs about it. She feels sorry not to have a camera with her. Luckily, we have some pictures tailor-made! For the first time we receive some money for the effort. Nice! Life lessons for both of us.
Focus Another lesson to learn is to keep focus. We ere so much in trust of the horses and feeling confident, sometimes we forget the basic rules.Normally we make everything loose before unharness them. (Naturally, otherwise we can not replace them in a fence) Yesterday we want to walk away with Aysha still hooked up to the pole! As usual, she follows very submissive but pulled back on the reins. Luckily, no one get hurt.
DDR Its evening now, the place we stay belongs to Jens. A former East-German (DDR) living now in united Germany. Escaped in the eighty’s this communist country and build up his new life since then. From his positive attitude we can learn life lessons! We are still surprised about ourselves, brought it this far deep into Germany. The horses are doing more than fine. They can eat every day a different diet of grass and hay, looking healthy. It’s as if we learn from them, through them and with them!A positive life changing attitude, just take your horse and go!
