Freedom Lifestyle a daring Journey

In this freedom lifestyle, we can choose where to go or stay on this rolling journey. That sound easy but isn’t. We need enough space for the horses to move around at night. Close to the water supply because Aysha and Isabella drink over 21 gallon together on one day! If it is for 1 night there is no problem but if we want to stay longer it is always more difficult, in that way also a daring journey.

Regensburg

We are close to Regensburg. A fantastic city with in his centre a famous cathedral. John wants to visit that one, so we need a long term place.

Tomorrow is also our second wedding anniversary. We find an RV camping but the man at the gate will not let us through. We can understand that and because it's an unplaned joureny we have no reservation. It is not something common when we arrive in our horse drawn caravan!

Last legs

Consequences are that we have to move further than we want to and this day it's a long long journey to find a suitable place. We drive into the centre of Regensburg. People are totally surprised. There is no other way, and the traffic jam of our cause is long. We have to travel an extra 5 mile before we find a place outside the city. The horses are walking on their last legs.

Its 9.30 in the evening before they can rest.

Next day

Its 95 F in the shadow. Wish there was shadow! I take my bike to search for plastic we can use to make some shelter for the horses. In the shop walks, a bit unconventional men, around. We start talking and I understand he has a place near the Danube to spend time with friends. Sounds like an alternative kind of people having fun. Yes, they have place and we are more than welcome. I jump on my bike, the men goes forward to inform John. He frightened John with telling him he is from the “Criminal Police”.

Driving like crazy

Within a half hour, still very hot, we arrive on the spot. A bit narrow for the horses, but close to the water. Friendly good people except for Tony the man I met in the shop. He turns out to be very weird.

Stupid enough I decide to go with him to collect hay. Like crazy he tier to the little village, straight forward on roundabouts, 50 miles an hour on little roads. My hart beats like crazy! This has nothing to do with freedom lifestyle!

Money

Back at the river he starts to collect money” for the Dutch people”. We do not want that, but he cant stop annoying people with his question. In the evening, an argument start, ends of with a fight between him and other members. We cannot leave the place by now it is to dark. Tomorrow we will go immediately.

Anniversary

It is still our anniversary and we celebrate this at this weird place. Next morning we tell Tony we leave. He is very angry. Shouting that we are ungrateful. We do not get the money he collects. That is more than OK. We did not want that anyway. He also threatened us to follow, and will find us on our way.

Fear

We leave this spot as soon as possible. Thirty minutes later, I have to go back. Lost some important papers. At the spot, Tony still is in fear. He wants me to clean out the horse’s manure. Coming up on me shouting. As quick as possible I work the dung away. Got back to the horses and John and finally we off back on journey to freedom.

For the next few days we pay attention for everything what happen, nothing is unnoticed. We do not see him back. Relieved we follow again our freedom lifestyle. John also hurt is head, when we collect our belongings in a hurry!
