After the Carriage Driving Lessons

After the carriage driving lessons we have the right skills. Only John nows how to drive but that's Ok. He had a driving instructor in the Netherlands to learn one horse driving. Every day is a challenge but also worthwhile. There are more people with special skills and I have make a list of it:

One of the advantages of travel is to meet new people and discover new things. Every day is surprising to see al kind of craftsmanship and different skills around me. I always like to watch people doing their job with passion and accurate skills.

I recently learned that cows early on grazing meadows are for the butcher not for milk. Not al farmers have their own land , they lease it also. Sometimes the income they have is to slender and the wife has to work outside. The farmer take care of horses cows and the kids.

Dedicated

We meet a man dedicated to his work. For 30 years now he remove the dawn of the golf club meadows. Never knew it excist never the mind that somebody can work there that long.

A teacher for 45 years. Retired now but always work with great pleasure and enthusiasm.

The vets we met. Two in a row. The third is coming. Vienna our dog needs to remove a stitch. Very skillful people with their hart on the right place.

Other skills

The blacksmiths on our journey. The coachman where we took carriage driving lessons. Al skilled people.

The broadcast people talking “high tech”, cant remember the words but it sounds good.

One host turned out to be a teacher at a horse education centre. He tells us about nutrition food. Did you know that willow wood is very good for horses because of its asprine?

Hairdryer

The hairdresser one week ago. She cut my hair in a perfect coupe. Advice me to us a hairdryer to modeling it. ( I could not help having a good laugh about myself)

Another village

Little school, great teacher. The hostfamily with two children at that school makes a phone call to announce that we (the whole carriage with horses) are bringing their children. Immediately she arrange music, circus clothes and a lot of people to welcome us and our travel horses. Little school, great passionate teacher.

A post package arrives within a magazine about us. Good article, well written, beautiful pictures.

All this people with the right skills and we have the plessure of meeting them.

Last but not least: my own driver who shows that the lessons pay of!
